In 1996, the company had a single veterinary disinfectant registered on the Romanian market. Through sustained investment in research and development, VANELLI experienced steady growth, reaching a portfolio of over 50 products by 2006—the same year in which the company implemented and certified its Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

In 2007, coinciding with Romania’s accession to the European Union, VANELLI’s Animal Health Division achieved EU-GMP certification for its production lines. That same year marked the beginning of the company’s international expansion, with exports to the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria. Continuous alignment with European regulations led to the implementation of new technologies and the modernization of product dossiers.

Today, the Animal Health Division benefits from extensive national and international expertise, offering a diversified portfolio of over 150 products, including antiparasitics, antibiotics, and specialized treatments for both large and companion animals.

Building on its solid pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, VANELLI expanded into the human health segment through the launch of the VANELLI HUMAN Division. This initiative led to the development of a portfolio of over 60 products—including nutraceuticals, cosmetics, disinfectants, and medical devices—currently available in markets such as Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece.

At the beginning of 2023, the company initiated a major investment project aimed at expanding its logistics and production infrastructure, including the construction of a new GMP-certified facility scheduled for completion in 2027.

Looking ahead to the 2026–2030 period, VANELLI’s strategic objective is the development of a new integrated headquarters designed to centralize all company operations. This initiative will enhance operational efficiency, improve internal communication, and support sustained growth.

VANELLI collaborates with leading academic and research institutions, including “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași, the University of Life Sciences in Iași, Cluj and Bucharest, and “Petru Poni” Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry. These partnerships, supported through research grants, contribute to the development of innovative formulations, process optimization, and validation of advanced pharmaceutical technologies.

Through its Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) services, VANELLI provides investors and partners with a reliable and flexible production platform. The company offers small- and medium-scale batch manufacturing for veterinary pharmaceuticals within EU-GMP certified facilities. This flexibility enables accelerated development cycles—from concept to market—facilitating faster commercialization and enhanced profitability potential.
